Hey guys so I just took the DAT and my results we not at all what I wanted. I don't know what happened with my test. Well first my scores were:
PAT 23
QR 17
Reading 19
Bio 18
GC 17 🙁
OC 23
AA 19
TS 19
I have no idea what happened I was getting 21+ on Bootcamp for all 5 tests and the lowest scores I was getting were on my PAT section. But I am just wondering what are my options. I am justing wondering if I need to retake it. My GPA is a 3.55 and my sGPA is a 3.4. I'm also a native american, but I don't know if schools look at that. Can you guys give me the honest truth and maybe think of some schools that you think I would have a shot at?

I'm no expert at determining "chances" but I think you got a fair shot. Your gpa is about average from what I can recall about the statistics, and I think the cutoffs for DAT scores are (at the minimum 17). It may have helped to get a little bit higher with an average GPA, but I know for QR, they make exceptions with lower score. That 17 in GC isn't the best thing in the world, but hey, it;s not TERRIBLE! Your AA and PAT are great, and I think they will look at that alongside with individual scores (great job on PAT btw!) Like i said, I'm not perfect at determining chances, but from what I've seen and heard on SDN, I think you can get acceptances! In all honesty, I would be ecstatic with your scores (but that's just me)- Overall, good luck, and nice work!

With all honesty with your GPA I would take those DAT scores anytime. Is 19AA and 19TS the best scores out there? NO, but they are not bad. From what I know your DAT scores are the average acceptance scores.
I would suggest calling the schools just to make sure. If it was me, I wouldn't retake the DAT unless I know FOR SURE that I will score much higher. I wouldn't risk retaking and then getting lower scores!
Relax, I'm sure you gave it your best!
Worst case scenario, is if the schools you call suggest that you retake it. At that time, I would suggest you apply early with your scores and just make sure to select that you will retake the DAT.

Job well done and love that 23 in Orgo, that shines through. The honest truth is that 17 granted is a tad on the low side I don't think it will be a deal breaker. In my opinion being Native American should be included in your personal statement, that will make it unique and also interesting to the reader. It is important you contact the schools and discuss with them your exact stats because they can best advise you. If you live close to a school it's not a bad idea to make an in person visit. Always good to make a face to face connection. As I have stated in previous posts no timed test available will accurately predict your score and I have experienced it more often than not inaccurate.

I notice on your other thread you said you were getting 22-23s. Was that the first time you took the tests or after you took them, studied them and took them again?

It was the first time I was taking the test and I even took the 2007 practice test and only missed 5 on the gen chem section
