Ok...just finished my DAT today...didnt do as well as I want to.

PAT: 18
Bio 16
GC: 19
OC: 20
QR: 17
RC: 16
AA: 18
TS: 18

GPA: 3.9

So what are my chances? Will I get in somewhere?

I'm thinking 18 is average, but ur GPA is awesome and i think NYU really likes kids with high GPA's, how good are ur science GPA?

my science GPA is 4.0 and NYU is one of my school choices!!

it's hard to say with RC 16 and Bio 16...

You should call schools and hear their responses. Your gpa is awesome though.

My opinion is same as above. Great gpa but low bio and rc score. Call schools and ask if you should retake.

i think ur fine. my coworker just got into usc today with 18 18 19, and 16 in bio.

Nice GPA, your bio might hurt you but you should be alright in the long run at most schools.

I was told by NYU admissions you have to have at least a 17 in each individual section

Maybe it was a bad day...

If it were me, I would retake... with such a high science/overall gpa it looks a little funny that you had such a low BIO score... that, or have a good excuse for why you did so poorly during your interviews.

With 16's you still have a chance to get in somewhere. However, If you retake and get at least 17's on everything, then you should have no problem getting into dental school especially NYU with your 3.9/4.0. Good luck!
