im pretty jelous haha. My uncle is a dental technician so he is knows the ins and outs of doing tech work, which is a big portion of dental school. I also heard that dental school will really like the fact that you are good with dent work.. You guys think this is true? I think thats awesome if its true (hes a good kid).. I mean wouldn't you think someone who already knows how to make and do fitments etc is a very high potential candidate?

It can't hurt.

I think that in every case of admission the admissions committee will look at each students strengths and weaknesses. Do I think that being a whiz at lab work will overcome a 15 on the DAT? Probably not. I think that they will still need to be competitive in other areas. I think the added skills gives them an advantage when being compared to another equally qualified applicant.
