Hello! I wanted to ask for some opinions about my DAT score.
I scored
20 TS (19 on bio and ochem, 20 on gen chem)
20 AA
19 PAT
24 RC
and 19 QR.

My GPA is around 3.8. What are you my chances? And any suggestions to schools I should apply to? I have about 5 schools that I want to apply in my mind but I would love to hear some opinions!

Great stats, you DAT is very good, and your gpa is phenomenal. What 5 schools do you want to apply to, what state are you from, what is your major, have you taken any community college courses, are you a URM?

Thanks so much for your reply! I was thinking of all 3 texas dental schools (Baylor, Houston, and San Antonio) + NYU and Tufts. I'm from Texas and I'm neurobiology major! I took 2 cc courses (govt) and I'm not URM! Thank you!!!

Ok, so your a texas resident. I am very unfamiliar with the texas process, but I would recommend you applying to significantly more schools, atleast 10-15. You want to apply once, and not regret not applying to more schools if you get rejected the first cycle applying to only 5.

NYU, TUFTS, BU, TEMPLE. These schools are almost automatic when you apply in my opinion, I would call up BU and TUFTS and ask them about the CC courses you have taken, I know they dont accept any CC for pre-reqs, but I am not sure what their policy is on for non pre-req CCs.

I would research many schools, and try to apply to atleast 10 I feel. GL

3.8 with 20/20 with a 24 in RC.... congratulations on your future acceptances (plural)

I would aim at 10-12 schools.

*EDIT* Just noticed you are TX resident. Your system for application I think opens up in May right? Just be early and apply... Im pretty certain one of the TX schools will accept you. Im so jelous, enjoy that 15k per year tuition

I will most definitely apply to Tufts with your score. I know Tufts prefer pretty high score on RC. And, I am certain that you will get at least interview from them. 🙂
