I'm a D.O. who did an AOA approved residency. I've recently matched through NRMP to do an ACGME accredited fellowship, which is supposed to start July 2014.

Is my fellowship in jeopardy? Can they still train me? Does anyone know about what will happen in my situation? If not, who should I even ask?

Thanks.

I am NOT qualified to answer this, but my best bet would be that you are fine, you have already matched, I would be honestly shocked if the acgme passed their resolution and did not grandfather in those who have already matched fellowships (essentially screwing over a lot of hospitals subspecialty programs). I would call your PD, but honestly dude you are fine...probably.

if it makes you feel better, my school's deans met with us last year and told us in the event that the ACGME resolution passed, those accepted to a fellowship would be grandfathered in.

i would confirm with your fellowship just in case, however.
