I got my GPAs calculated my optomcas, but now im a bit worried since they calculate the GPAs in so many different ways and some of my GPAs are below 3 🙁. Then some are greater then 3 as well. My overall GPA is a 3.23 and my Science is 3.32. My GPA isnt very competitive so I studied very hard for the OAT and got AA:370 TS:380. Do you think these stats are decent enough or will the below 3.00 GPAs really hurt my application. I will be applying to PUCO, ICO, Western, NECO and PCO.

With that OAT, you are more than fine! Don't worry.

Yes, with that OAT score, I'm sure you can get into almost any school you want.

I was just curious, how does optomcas break down your GPA? I think you have to submit and pay for the application before they actually calculate your GPA and my application is nowhere near finished yet, so I was just wondering. Thanks!

Yes u have to pay and submit before they calculate the GPAs. Mine was very quick, i had my application verified and GPAs calculated the day i submitted. They breakdown your GPAs quite a bit!

So they have a science, non-science and total GPA for your freshman, junior, sophomore, senior years, then a cumalative undergrad, post bacc., graduate and total.

Then they also break down ur gpas by subjects. So bio/life sci, inorganic chem, organic chem, biochem, physics, biology/chem/physics total, maths, psych, english, other science, other general and also a total gpa.

Thanks, this helped a lot!

Good luck with admissions!

You got high OAT scores.
How did you prepare for the OAT?

I used the kaplan on demand online program
