anyone else end up with a less than 4000 character personal statement

i feel like everyone on here is complaining about theirs being too long and here i am...all finished...with a mini essay..

I wrote mine a few weeks back with a max of 4500 characters and the potential of them cutting it down to 4000 in mind.

so I worked things so that if its stays at 4500 I'm fine. if it gets chopped down I can make minor changes and it won't be anything drastic. I am a little over 4K characters. like 4040 or so.

500 characters isn't a lot anyhow. Its about 3 sentences or so.

Are people telling life stories or something? 4500 is roughly 2.25 pages double spaced.

Limit is 4500 characters. That is like 2-3 sentences. I don't think yours is short.

my final versions about 3800 words with spaces.. i mean i felt like i said all about myself that the adcom should know about...

mine is roughly 3900. its fine. we're not required to fill the 4500. its a max, not a min. if you're comfortable with what you've said, then go with it! 🙂
