Really quick question all.

I've been at a community college part time for some time, mostly because I was terrible at math and had to take some prerequesite courses before taking college courses. I'd like you all to know about my science grades so far and what your opinions are.

Gen Bio 101 - C
----Gen Bio 102 1st time (D), 2nd time (D), 3rd time (F)
Back then I was a total ****** and didnt know what career I wanted to get into.

----Finally started to study (A&Phys I & II, recieved "B"'s in both)

----Took pre-cal (recieved a "B") I surprised to know I just missed an "A"

-----Taking Applied Calculus currently....

I haven't taken any other science courses so far....I am Transferring to the University where I will finish up. Any advice on the Biology portion? I want to major in Biology...so hopefull the upper courses will take away the dismal performance early on.

with everything getting so competitive I would say get a A in every class you ever take and then get a masters in something you want to pursue... After that you should be in good shape... I think its going to be really hard to bring ur GPA up after a rough start.... BUT with some hard work anything is possible

I'm gonna agree with the above poster. You better spend the next years proving to yourself and adcoms that you really want it (by getting a **** load of A's) and possibly doing some grad work. Then kill the DAT and I think you should be OK.

If you want to major in Bio after you transfer I would think that you need at least a C (or some minimum grade) in order for it to count toward your major. You may need to re-take Bio (again) at the 4 year university - which may not be so bad b/c it will appear as a "different" course from the one you took at CC. At any rate I would start building a master's into your plan too because it's going to be hard to recover from those bio grades.

Transfer to a new school that won't transfer your gpa, then start anew
