Shadowing:

My small animal vet
My vet specialist (Oncology)
Large animal mobile vet (cattle, alpaca, goats)

Volunteering:
No-kill animal shelter (dogs, cats)

Applying for animal care internship at zoo for summer 2014

How does this look? Is it a big deal that there is no equine anything?

The what are my chances thread is a great place to post this type of thing (and anything else you might need advice about regarding your application). That being said, it's hard to get any info from this without the number of hours you've spent doing each.

Thanks for replying, wildcat.

I'm just starting with all of this, so I don't have number of hours.

Projected number of hours would be approximately 10-12 hours/week for the vet shadowing and 4 hours/week for the shelter volunteering--for the next two years.

And hopefully 35 hours/week of zoo internship for 12 weeks.

My work week is 30-35 hours and I'm only taking 7 credit hours, so it's very doable.

It's all going to be very interesting, so I look forward to it.
