My stats/No interviews...advice?

GPA is about 4.0 science and 3.9 overall. I got a 20 on the DAT. I have research, dental shadowing, extra curricular, etc.

I haven't heard anything from NOVA and I applied back in July. Is there anything that I can do?

call them and ask what is status of your app. Did they received everything? Supplemental and such? You just took your DAT couple days ago?
I know Nova calculates its own separate sGPA on bio, chem etc so if someone did not take enough of bio classes or got good grades in one science but not in other Nova could put such app on hold till more classes are taken....
otherwise Nova is pretty much Numbers school and your stats are excellent...

I took my DAT in the summer. I don't know what happened. I tried so hard and I have no invites and it's just depressing.

I understand how you feel - it seems like everyone on SDN has tons of interviews already. Definitely call or email the schools to find out if they are missing anything. You have great stats - you'll get interviews soon. Try to be patient and also don't check SDN too often.

yea, whats the breakdown? also, what school do you go to? community college vs a tier 3 university vs tier 1 university can make a difference. many people do not agree, but a 3.9/4.0 at a community college just isn't viewed the same as a tier 1 research institution.

also, were your LORs personal? a lot of times, ADCOMs have a great applicant by numbers, but if the professors/research advisors can't speak highly of you, that says something about your character and personality.

I think it might also have to do with people with higher GPAs working less on the DAT becuase they know they have more of a cushion, while those with a 3.0 GPA know they need to work more so they study 10x more and get a much higher score.

Agreed... Also it may depend on when they took the general classes. Like me it was 5 years since I have had gen biology and gen chem. Not that I have a 4.o or anything.

Just to confirm, do you have (or will you be earning) a degree? Also, how many schools did you apply to? Some people with 4.0's and great DAT's simply don't get interviews at every school they apply to, stuff happens.
