I have a bunch of prereqs and other courses to do like Physics, biochem, physiology, orgo lab, and anatomy... Will taking classes while studying for the DAT(over a longer period of time)be bad?

I've seen study schedules, and they are mostly around 2 months of just studying for DAT. Can I spread it over 6 months with classes and such? I also have a little less than a month of my winter break to just focus on DAT stuff, and I can put off a week or so of spring semester to study some more if needed.

I'll try to make my three semesters as light as possible, but I still need to work a little for money and a few other commitments.

Or should I really just set aside two months fully dedicated to DAT? but that would only be possible after my spring semester, which is mid-May already. I would have already missed the early batch, and if I really messed up the DAT, then I'll have to retake it...

The DAT is mainly memorizing a bunch of things and spitting it back out on the exam. It is less about concepts and such. In my opinion, spreading it thin over 6months will make it difficult to remember a lot of the facts and reactions unless you are constantly reviewing everything. It is much better to focus solely on it for ~2 months.
