Hey guys, I'm having a hard time with my scheduling so I figured I'd run it by the brain-trust gang and see what everyone thinks. I'm gonna be a junior in the fall of 2004 and only decided over Christmas break that I was gonna be a doctor! Hah...Anyway, so I took Introduction to Bio this past semester (Spring of my sophomore year), but I couldn't get into a lab. I got an A in the class though! So anyway, I was planning on taking Chem 1 and 2 this summer, then Orgo 1 and 2 in the fall and spring of my junior year, then physics 1 and 2 that summer, then the August MCAT in my senior year (I was just gonna take the Intro to Bio Lab sometime in my senior year). But I began to read that the August MCAT can hurt your chances at a lot of schools that do rolling admissions--should I just space my classes out more and take the MCAT in April of my senior year? It would delay my entry to med school by a year...would the schools see that negatively (ie I was slacking)? I WOULD just double up on my courses, but I science is really not my forte and I'd prefer to concentrate on one science at a time to get the best possible grade out of it. So! Sorry about the length of this post, but any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Later! 😀
