Mysterious Duke Email

About 10 minutes ago I got two consecutive emails from Duke confirming my interview on Oct. 25. The only problem is that I haven't received an invitation to interview yet. Better yet, I called the admissions office and the woman I spoke to said they haven't begun to send out interviews.

Weird, huh? Did anyone else get this? It's funny now that I think about it, but I almost had a heart attack when I first saw the email pop up.

Hmm. To add to the mysteriousness, I just got a new email saying I'm invited for an interview and that I should go online to schedule it. However, on their site it says I'm still in the screening process. Has anyone else been invited? It could just be another error.

haha i would just let them know that whether or not they are classifying this one as a mistake, three emails about your interview was enough to convince you that you have one, and you will be showing up on xx day to do so lol. that is CRAZY and so frustrating, i think you are handling it very well becuase i would not be able to deal with all of the false hope.

Yeah, it's definitely some sort of glitch. I just got 3 more emails saying I should schedule and 2 more saying I'm confirmed for the 25th.

Why are they toying with me like this?? Maybe you're right, I should just show up on the day and say "where's my interview?"

Yeah. Unfortunately it must be an error. My last name is at the beginning of the alphabet so maybe I'm the first one on the list and so the glitch emails are coming to me. It's a mystery.

This seems to be the best advice. How can they deny me if I bring all the emails? 😀
