Does anyone else feel like, I dunno, they should be doing *something*? I know, I know, finals were last week, but I keep getting this sense that I'm slacking off, like I should be studying. I feel so guilty about laying around the apartment all day doing nothing like it's going to get me a D on some non-existant pharmacology exam in the future. It's like I can't enjoy summer because my brain has adapted into an uber-efficient memorizing machine and time manager. It's like I need to be weaned off of school.

I tells ya, this 2nd year pharmacy school stuff messes up your brain something awful.

Anybody else got this going on?

This always happens to me! After school gets out I'm so used to studying all the time that having nothing to do drives me crazy. That lasts for about 2 weeks or so, then my brain turns to jello and I start enjoying doing nothing. Then it's another major adjustment for me when school starts back up.

It took me 2 days to unwind from finals. After that I was bored. Thank God I only had 2.5 weeks off and get to start my internship on Monday.

i'm like that too now....

oh wait.... i still have a final on monday...
i guess i really do need to be studying.. 🙁

It has been a whole 4 hrs since my last final exam, and the mysterious feeling of impending doom has crept up on me. What am I supposed to do with myself? There's a "Review of Organic Functional Groups: Intro to Medicinal Chemistry" book lying next to me, and I WANT to pick it up and read it before my Integrated II class starts in two weeks?!?!?!? Somebody hold me back! :scared: I already started reading the required text for my Service Learning & Public Health class this summer, about "A Hmong child, her American doctors, and the collision of two cultures." I even went to Target a little while ago to ask if they needed and intern, and I can start working, umm, NOW! Somebody stop me.

I have that book on my shelf gathering dust. It was a required book for our Intro to Med Chem back in P1 year. No one ever referred to it or used it to my knowledge. It is a waste of time. You do NOT WANT to pick it up and read it.

Did that help?

I wouldn't touch that book. Unless you need help going to sleep...

Thanks. I took a nap & I feel much better. I no longer want to do anything productive. 😀

Forgetmenot: I'll use it for more naps next week, although, the other book I was reading did the job just fine. 👍

A pharmacist gave me this book for fun summer reading!! 😛

Mysterious feeling of impending doom can be controlled with little Simethicone...

We had to read the same book.

In what context? ...we have to read it as part of our new "Public Health and Service Learning" course.

What exactly is this new course?

have a few margaritas and read the entire hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy.

that will pull your brain in the opposite direction for a bit

The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down was actually an excellent book...very well written...very interesting...very sad. 🙁 I learned a lot about the Vietnam war that I never knew. It made me laugh, made me angry, made me cry. I think you'll enjoy it too. 👍

One more day of class and I'll start reading. I hope I enjoy it too!
