hey guys,
what's the consensus on middle names and med school diplomas? Do most people put their full middle names, just the initial, or leave it out entirely?

I can't seem to recall from all those diplomas I've seen displayed on clinic walls in the last two years haha

Most people leave out the middle name entirely and replace it with a cool nickname like "Cougar" or "Broccoli Rob."

Every med school diploma I recall seeing hanging in an office has the full middle name. I don't even think my school gave us the option---full legal name for everyone on the diplomas.

Keep in mind that a copy of your med school diploma will be sent EVERY time you apply for a medical license or privileges. Women who have changed their names since also will have to give court documents (including marriage licenses, divorce decrees, etc. depending on state) showing legally that the name on the diploma is actually the same person who is applying for the license/privileges (i.e. proof of 'old name' and 'new name'). Your full name is going to be everywhere on your applications....might as well have it all spelled out on the diploma, IMO.
