In writing some of the essays for my secondaries, I've come across the same problem twice. I keep finding myself mentioning specific names (doctor I shadowed, girl I helped in one of my volunteer experiences). While I could refer to them generically, I think that it sounds alot more personal with the names (these essay prompts are fairly personable--e.g. biographical sketch, etc). Is there anything wrong with mentioning names? Anyone know anything about this? Thanks in advance!

I think its better to include names. it makes it more real, more interesting, and personal. good luck 👍

As I'm sitting here thinking about this, it reminds me of how politicians insert names into their speeches (e.g. "Just the other day, I met little Jenny, a girl who's father lost her job") Does that drive anyone else nuts???
