Hello,

I felt compelled to post this thread to my fellow pharmacy colleagues who may be getting the wrong impression about the NAPLEX examination. I am writing this as someone who has already passed the NAPLEX.

I have read a great deal of threads stating the NAPLEX is "easy" and/or "not that bad". Please take this advice with a grain of salt. Saying these things are so much easier to say after you find out you have passed.

Many of the threads discussing the NAPLEX on SDN are old and are prior to NABP revamping the examination and this should be taken into consideration.

My examination was by no means easy. I studied solid for 2 months and still walked out of there feeling a little worried. However, at the end of the day I scored well. Moreover, if you do not take this examine seriously you can easily fail it, studying for a few days and passing is an outlier not the norm. I had multiple cases on oncology, HIV, pediatrics, psych, non sterile and sterile compounding, and the obvious copious amounts of calculations/biostats.

Lastly, unfortunately there are members here on SDN with no compassion and seem to kick people when they're down after some have posted they've failed. Please stay away from these threads if you see users belittling other members of the SDN community. You need to be mentally sharp and control your nerves the best way possible prior to your test date. Stay away from that negativity.

Take the exam seriously and if you do fail, remember that this one exam does not define you. You have other opportunities to take the exam and be successful. Wish you all the best.

Good Luck!

I totally agree with you.
I failed the exam and I'm studying for my 2nd, I can tell some of the posts are not realistic and some ppl make u feel that if u study for a couple of days only u pass with flying colors.

Congrats on your success and best of luck in your career
