Took the NAPLEX on 9/16 and passed fairly easily. I felt horrible walking out of the exam. I felt like I was missing easy questions and I wasn't getting anything on the material I had put in the most effort on. This was my second shot at taking it so I was beyond scared to look at the score. Here's how I prepared:
APhA Complete Review of Pharmacy - read it cover to cover and took the quizzes at the end of each chapter. Never felt 100% confident with ALL of the material, but made sure that I was good with ID, HIV, Heart Disease, Diabetes, etc.
Top 200 drugs - Took hours memorizing brand/generic names as I felt that tripped me up the first time. Seems like they try to trick you by using the brand name of very old drugs or the generic name of very new drugs.
SDN 120 calculations - There are calculations in the APhA book, but they are more geared towards acid/base and not patient based dosing questions. Make sure you know BSA, BMI, mEq/mOsm conversions/equations.
I would also say know types of errors that are controlled for in studies, how to calculate NNT/NNH, etc but these aren't 100% necessary to pass.
Hope this helps some people.
