Naplex score disclosure

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I highly doubt they have access to your NAPLEX scores.

Thanks guys. I wish my score was awesome 🙂 It was just alright and I don't really want to advertise it or have it exposed.

"Excuse me while I whip this out."

My NABPLEX score was 127. I know of one classmate whose score was in the 130s; I don't know how high it could go, but 75 was passing. It was standardized and it was not hard to figure out which questions were weighted or relatively new. But do keep in mind that I graduated in 1994. Out of the 86 people in my class, everyone passed except for one, and I didn't find out who that person was for several years.

And no, I never put it on my resume.

They don't care what your NAPLEX score is as long as you have a license.

No one will care about your naplex score, except your mom.

Gpa does matter for residency, but after that, no. However, some of the academic medical center jobs wanted to see transcripts, as well as formal LORs.

Same thing with GPA.

Umm, no. I'm pretty damn sure my GPA is why I only got 1 residency interview.

I think rph's point is that once you are LICENSED and have work experience, GPA doesn't matter. I agree.

Everyone knows it matters a lot for residency.

True. And it also mattered at the time for people who were pursuing a Pharm.D. (about 10% of my class, most of whom ended up regretting it) or a graduate degree. I'm sure that my classmate/Facebook friend who's now an attorney knew that this would be a consideration when she applied to law schools about 10 years after we graduated, too.
