i have rx prep 2016 is it enough for the test ?? and other than pass naplex now , do u recommend any online courses for foreign rph who has been away from practice for a long time ???? and other than rx prep do u recommend any other resources i need to buy??? do u advise me to buy rx quiz bank (not sure if it is the right name)

Hi!! Rx quiz bank helped me a lot. the more practice questions the better. I only used rxprep when studying. I would recommend buying the new book since a ton of the guidelines have been uodated since 2016.

Good luck! 🙂

i will recommend you to buy PHARMACOTHERAPY FLASH CARDS (not the pharmacology one!!!)they helped me a lot because the questions are new naplex format like and explanation are straightforward ( i was 10+ years away from practice) it did it for me !!!

and like Pharmlate said buy the rxprep current version

I would recommend getting the new (2018 or 2019) rx prep book. Since you already spent more than 200K on pharm school, another 130 bucks on the book won't hurt. I am certain that the rx prep is more than enough to pass the naplex. All I did for a full month was studying that rx prep and I was more than prepared for the test

thanks everyone
i bought the 2019 rx prep
but the material is overwhelming and i keep forgetting things i already studied

take it slow, chapter by chapter, I rewrote it into a notebook ( took forever, but I was in no rush). I also make flashcards. This whole process took me about 2 months of studying. Could have done it in a month, but I just I tend to get lazy at time

pharmacotherapy flashcards helped a lot
rewrite what you are studying chapter after chapter like Blue191 said..memory comes with repetition the more you will reread you notes with your own words the better

be encouraged

i will say IMO the first half of the book is much more important to know.

Math, Biostat, Compounding, Brand/generic, Drug interactions, ID

These five subjects you just need to know really well.

EDIT***

I took the exam twice, failed the first time, cuz i focused alot on disease state and kinda forgot about biostat and the basics.

The second time, I just studied the 5 subject i listed really well, then skimmed the disease states and then took the RXprep test banks for like 2 weeks and i passed with 88.

Did you focus on doses? Did they ask about doses? Theyre impossible to memorize

repetitive is a key. read the chapter and try to take the practice exam in rxprep next day and see how much you retained. read the same chapter next week or in 2 weeks intervals.

Yup, I used only RXPrep but read the whole book at least 3 times.

Wish i have time for that but i am working full time with prn job
I am trying to listen to rxprep videos at work but can't concentrate
I do yake the quiz after finishing each chapter but i keep forgetting what have studied
Thanks for the advise btw

Are you a foreign graduate ???
Bcuz i have been studying for almost 10 months while working and i am not even half done with the book
No... I went to UNC for pharm school. After graduation, I took my parents for a 1-week road trip. Then I studied the RxPrep and the NC laws full time for 4 weeks before sitting for the NAPLEX and MPJE back to back 😉

I tried the video part alon, it does not have all the information. i graduated 15 years before i took my naplex, the exam is totally different than the Fpgee is more case oriented. you need to ace calculation, compounding, sterile and non sterile, and most importantly the biostat chapter. that with guarantee 37% of the exam.
