Did you guys remember ALL the side effects, CI and etc? I'm freaking out because I remember them, did well on the assessment at the end of the book, and forget them soon after. I'm having panic attacks while studying! Breathe

There is no way to remember every side effect or contraindication-- I worked to memorize the big ones, or odd ones-- ex doxorubicin= cardiac toxicity, byetta contraindicated in gastroparesis.

Doxorubicin'll make you pee red, too. Always a fun fact....

Even the weird side effects are too numerous to memorize. Hell, the HIV drugs and seizure meds will fill up a nice portion of memorization space. God damn crixivir and it's nephrolithiasis. The HIV meds just piss you off, period. It took me weeks to finally realize without reviewing that abacavir isn't a flippin' protease inhibitor. Whoever the hell named all of those needs to be imprisoned. -vudine vs.-virdine/-virine...NRTI vs. NNRTI...oh...all the PIs end with -vir....oh wait, a few NRTIs do, too. Waaaaahhh! Make it stop....

I had my rendevouz with anti-arrythmics yesterday...it took a good 3 looks to decipher the classes apart, then the individual drugs...BUT i only care for amiodarone!

They aren't that bad. Once you realize that Ca-channel blockers and the beta blockers (sans sotalol) are their own groups (II, IV), it makes it much easier to get down. And amiodorone...don't forget it's in the same group as sotalol and about the damned blue man syndrome.

As opposed to Vanc and it's red man syndrome...which is histamine related. I'm sitting here rambling off random facts. I'm ready for this ****s. Bring it, bitches. *Lights hair on fire, runs down street screaming*

ahhaha. I'm going to remember that forever because the blue man group i one of my all time favorite entertainers! I know, I just want to take it...but I want to study some more first. Onto Myocardial oxygen and demand---I heart hearts.

From what I've heard it's mostly infectious site empirical treatment type stuff. I.e. Tx of choice for otitis media, CAP, C. diff, etc.

That's pretty much dead on. Tx of choice and DOC are big ones. I would study the major bugs, what infections they cause and their DOCs.

OMG, HIV is AWFUL. I have my test tomorrow and I have to admit I still do not know even the names 😱 I kept trying tonight and can't keep them straight, so I started watching tv 😱 I really really hope I don't get slammed with HIV questions. I could possibly pick out a NUKE or PI.

Mine's tomorrow, too. 2PM. Nice. I'm starting to get over that anxiety hump. Slowly, I'm beginning to just not care as per usual. Because at worst...I just have to take it again...eh, whatever.

I'm buzzing off of a tad bit of Adderall, listening to some ES Posthumus, running drugs and **** through my head. I'm ready, mother****er. Game time coach, put me in, I can do it! I need to do some pushups or something, I think I'm a little bit too pumped. Kinda odd, really. I wish I took anabolic steroids, I could just blame it on that. But, no, it's just me....kinda crazy like that.
