Did anyone hear that soon the NBDEI and NBDEII will both be incorporated into a SINGLE exam at the end of 4th year? Does anyone knows when this will be in effect?

I attended the ADEA meeting in Denver last week and that exam will take place no earlier than 2017

Would they combine EVERYTHING into one exam? It would be an absolute bear to prepare for....esp considering you'd probably take them during your 4th year. Yikes.

A combined exam will happen but not for 5 years or so. It wont be so bad it will probably be like the Canadian exam which is a written first day and clinical questions second day with very little basic science questions.

then may be it could be better.🙂

that would be insane and what happens if you fail, 4 yrs wasted

Yeah, sounds like is going to be harder to pass exam but will become a reality 🙁

I heard about this at an interview. They expect to start in 2017, which is the graduation year for most of us in this current 2012-2013 cycle. I think we're fine as long as we take the boards before or during our junior year, that is at least if we get in this cycle.

Imagine having to study for this massive test right when senioritis kicks in.
