hey guys,
so i finished part 1 and was admitted to an advanced standing program.. was planning on taking part 2 after finishing the program since there's no need now.. but with the rules changing and the possibility of part 1 and 2 being combined in 2010, what's gonna happen to those of us who have already taken part 1?
is it gonna be like a separate part 2 exam for those who already took part 1? or are they gonna make us take a combined exam all over again? if anyone has any info and suggestions whether or not we should take part 2 now and finish it i'd really appreciate it! thanks 🙂

come on guys... 111 views and no one has any suggestions?

Well DrNush ..... I think it's not really clear what ADA plans 2 do , but personally i think it's higly unlikely that u, me & others who have already cleared Part 1 would be asked 2 sit for complete exam ....

Have a look at history ... what happened in 2007, when exam was divided in seperate sections based on subjects & then changed into joint form .... people who had appeared earlier were still given chance 2 appear for the section that they hadn't cleared ... AND not forced 2 sit for complete exam again.

So , i m sure this time around too ... whatever changes ADA makes ... it'd definitely take into consideration the position of people who have cleared exams before the intended change. :xf:

For now, i think u, me & everyone need 2 patiently wait 2 hear from ADA ... whenever that is.

In the meanwhile, if u think u can, try appearing for Part 2 before 2010 .... coz that's what i plan 2 do & have started working on it .... even though i m not admitted into any school yet.:scared::scared::scared::scared:
Hope this helps.
All d best.

thanks a lot ashu75.. well my question was meant to help out all of us who have only taken part 1 (and there are a lot of us)... not just me.
there are a few senior members or faculty on SDN who may have some info from ADA that may not be completely public yet.. thats why i posted this question..
thanks for ur suggestion! good luck to u.. 🙂
