good luck
good luck guys with the waiting and the results
Goatboy:
I hope that isn't true..I guess we'll see next week if we receive anything or not in the mail! I'd be pissed if we had to wait another two weeks!!! That's bull****. Waiting for an exam result for 10 freaking weeks is not only unreasonable, but also fu@ked up!
Patience can only last so long.....

all the best to you all....the waitings the worst part! why dont they send out the comp test scores separately later? isnt it supposed to be some experimental thing where the students have given their paper-based already? are those scores supposed to be your final scores or do they consider your PBT scores??

they consider the best of the 2 thats the incentive for taking the test again.

Quick question.
What is the significance of the NBDE Part1 Results? I know it?s a big test that test?s what you have learned so far in dental school, but what happens if you do poorly? I?m sure that your board scores play a role in getting accepted into a specialty program if you do very good, but can you flunk out of dental school if you do bad? What if you have average scores? Any elaboration on the subject would be helpful.

It is imperative to well in NBDE Part 1 for many reasons:
1) to make the school look good! Schools take pride in this. Although dental schools don't rank publicly, you can bet that school rank amongst themselves year after year solely based on the NBDE Part 1 results
2) to specialize as you've mentioned yourself
3) you must pass to continue to 3rd year curriculum of dental school at some dental schools. Like for Nova, if you don't pass Part 1, then you can't continue to 3rd year.

How well do you have to do to "pass"?
