A 12 month girl of large extended family is cared by numerous relatives ,she does not spend much time on floor , most likely to have problems with which of the following aspects of her development?

A-cognitive
B- fine motor
C-gross motor
e-social

44yr old man with ckd undergoes renal transplant in combination with bone marrow transplantation ,post transplantation show good function of graft despite lack of treatment .the transplanted BM is likely to induce which of the following immune response ?

A-Co-stimulation
B-hypersensitivity
C-senescence
D-surveillance
E-tolerance

Iam not able to get exact rationale, inputs highly appreciated

thanks
At 12 months, she should be taking her first steps and at least crawling. Her family is not giving her the opportunity by always holding her. So gross motor (fine motor stuff, like holding a fork, comes more at 20months).

The 2nd one is tolerance. A and C don't fit. Immune surveillance is poor in the eye and testes, etc, so that doesnt apply here. Hypersensitivity would involve an immune response (like GVHD, acute rejection, etc). The fact that the BM is accepted without immune suppressants means the patient has tolerance

thanks pepe18!!

Two programs A and B for t/t of hypercholesterolemia were introduced into a community .Program A into one district and Program B in other district, after 4 years 45% of 2200 on program A and 49% of program B had been successfully treated for hypercholesterolemia ,the difference between the sucess rate is statistically significant p<.01, but health officials did not change to program B because the magnitude of difference was so small.which of the following explains their decision?

A-they attributed the difference in success rates to chance alone
B-they distinguished between statistical significance and practical importance of difference in success rate
C-they felt that the p value was too small to justify the decision in favor of program B
D-they felt the samples were too small to justfy a decision in favor of B

even i thought same ,but on seeing D my thinking was why to accept a drug which is just statistically significant in small group of population this can also be just by chance

or it is so because the alpha criteria is very small than generally it should be(.05) we should consider that above drug response is statistically significant???

this was question about cystic fibrosis, given four options Auto.dominant,x linked,Auto.recessive ...etc as it is Autoreceissive d/o two options can be eliminated but the remaining two were stated as follows (pedigree chat in the upload)

-Autosomal recessive with high frequency

-Autosomal recessive with low frequency
