Hey everyone!
I took NBME 17 a couple of months ago and I just took 13 this afternoon and I did better on 13 than 17. I was hoping to get some insight from anyone else that has taken both- do you think getting a better score on 13 is a good sign?
Thank you and happy studying to all!

Yes, it's a good sign that your score today is higher than your score 2 months ago...

Okay maybe my actual question wasn't clear enough. Sure doing better yesterday than a couple of months ago is progress, but since 17 is a newer test is it supposedly harder than the older ones? Doing better on an easier test isn't a huge improvement, hence my question.

Why would newer mean harder? Difficulty is subjective and depends on your strengths, among other things.

A lot of people I know scored consideribly low on 17 vs. 13. I took 13 instead of 17 2 days before my test and got a 230 (my goal). Just hoping it is reflective of my score come July 8 ...
