NBME 17/18: Post-central gyrus discrepancy?

Hey y'all!

I didn't know if I should double post on the 17 and 18 threads or make my own, so I made my own...

Upon going through NBME 17 and 18, I couldn't wrap my brain around this discrepancy?

spoiler alert on 2 questions!




NBME 17 has a question about left leg/foot sensation weakness which based on previous posts is a simple question about humonculus.. then on NBME 18 they had a similar presentation, using the same sagittal section of the brain with different labels. Both of the answers should be postcentral sensory area, but it doesn't match up?

I really hope I have something confused.. Thanks for the help!
