the dashed line on the graph shows alveolar ventilation [VA] as a function of PaCO2 [arterial CO2 tension under normal conditions .Which of the following curves best represents the relationship between PaCO2 and VA after equilibration with 1.8 MAC halothane.

then there is a graph

on the Y axis VA is plotted
on the X axis PaCO2 is plotted


and choices A,B the line is shifted to the left of the normal line where line A is not parallel to the original one

choices c,d and e are to the right of the normal line where line is not parallel to the original...


please explain

Inhalation anesthetics cause respiratory depression in general -> high CO2 and low respiratory response -> E is the answer
