NBME Correlation

Hi..i was wondering what the correlation of scores is for the NBME towards Step 1 scores. Everyone says that is you attain a 4 or 500 that correlates to a pass on Step 1..is this true? I am thinking of taking the NBME test and using that as my measuring stick, is this wise? Any feedback would be great..

The NBME has the best correlation to the real exam of anything that I found. This seems to be the opinion of others as well. Most people score pretty close to what they got on the NBME.
