Has anyone taken any practice NBME's online this week? I was wondering how the new "longitudinal scale" has changed compared to before?

Thanks.

Ok...so something is definitely different.

I just finished doing form 11 online and I see the new updated scale. Somehow this is working in OUR favour. For example, previously a score of 500 = 221, and now a score of 500 = 228. To put this in perspective, last week I got 27 wrong on form 6 and scored 226. Today I got 31 wrong on form 11 and got 234.
Anyone have any thoughts?

I emailed the NBME for more insight, no answer yet...

i'm wondering the same thing. any other comments from those who have taken NBME exams recently?

Seems like the scale just bumped up all the marks by several points...I would imagine these scores would be more reflective of the NBME, as previously some students said they felt the scores were under predicted. Also curious on others' opinions about this....

Maybe they are making it less predictive now.. to make it harder for us student folk to gauge our readiness (cynical) Or some questions could be weighted more than others?
