NBME Exams

About to start M1 in a few weeks and although I'll learn this eventually, I was curious about schools that test using NBME questions. Specifically, my school exams are a single NBME exam at the end of each block. How are these NBME questions different from the NBME exams that students use during dedicated? Are these questions that the school purchases from the NBME and are only directly available to them? Thanks

To piggyback off of this, I just FINISHED my first block where we took an NBME test. This was conducted on the NBME website and proctored by my school. Is this score maintained by NBME and is it something that they can see if I underperformed? :/
