Which TX schools utilize NBME for their exams? This was something I meant to keep track of after interviews and simply forgot.

Just from what I wrote down, looks like UTMB, Tech El Paso, and McGovern. I think I missed some though (I think tech Lubbock, dell, and San Antonio also use them, but I could definitely be wrong on those.)

I also remember that TCOM uses NBME questions.

Is it true that McGovern does? If so, that might be a game-changer for me. I have a bad memory, don't remember them saying this

I concur with UTMB, El Paso, Dell, and McGovern.

San Antonio is iffy. While they do provide those type of questions in practice exams during Step 1 studying, the student giving the hospital tour indicated that the module exams were created by the instructors.

What effect would this have? I am genuinely curious, not being snarky.

High board scores.

UTMB switched a few years ago and this is part of the reason their USMLE scores are now sky-high. A current MS-3 told me the average was looking like 241 this year.

McGovern switched in 2015, so their USMLE average should reflect the change this year or next.

When does each medical school generally publish their board scores for the year?

Thanks guys. The only ones I could remember was that UTMB DOES while San Antonio does not.
