Can anyone give any insight into all this? I look on the NBME website and they say that they have 4 forms for the CBSSA with 200 questions each (4 blocks). Does each one give a score report and cost $45? My school's website says there are 2 forms, not 4, available for purchase. Did they recently update?

Also, people talk about the USMLE CD 1/2 exam. Are these questions different from the CBSSA forms? I registered for Step 1 already and did not receive any CD of questions (I've gotten my orange form and all that). Does the CD come later or do you have to request for it? I have also heard something about paying 50 bucks to take this 1/2 exam at your Prometric center. Has anyone done this or know of anyone who did this? Recommendations?

Thanks for your help guys.

Anyone know if the CBSSA forms are $45 each or $45 for all four? and how do I get answers. Plus the USMLE released items, is it just one sample of 200 questions or are there multiple copies.

Thanks

its $45 each but you can purchase them individually so if you only want 2 or 3 you'd pay $90 or $135 respectively. you dont get the answers for them, the NBME just gives you a report with a breakdown. i think its the same format as the usmle though, down to the tutorial. to me its worth it just for the estimated score you get at the end. nbme #2 is supposed to be the most accurate one in estimating your score so i'm saving that one for last.

good luck with your studying... see you on the wards in a few weeks. :luck: 🙂

Hey arsenic 😍

Guess I missed you online. Thanks for the info, although it's a bit stiff, I think it is worth it, so I will definately check it out. Do you know of any other USMLE/NBME released items? I know there is one on a CD, but is that the only other "official practice." Okay, I know I am being paranoid, but the tutorial on the NBME site was like 5 minutes, is that the one everyone suggests skipping on the actual test day?

anyone other than arsenic, with answers, please feel free to reply

Find NBME USMLE Released Materials here: http://www.usmle.org/Orientation/menu.htm. Also, I never got the CD, and neither did any of my friends. The site has all of the same stuff that you would get on the CD, so just download the 2006 materials and you can get the 150 released questions, along with the official tutorial, there (and yes, these questions are different from the CBSSA exams).

Hello! Does anyone know if answers/explanations exists for the 4 cbssa exams? I am desperately in need of those. Any information would greatly be appreciated. Thanks a million. 🙂
