Hey guys - new to the forum. I did a search for these questions already and wasn't able to find an answer, but it's just been driving me a bit crazy.

i'm about 4 weeks away from my exam, and just completed Uworld with ~ 62% average. I took NBME 6 as my first NBME and scored a 207 - I made some dumb mistakes, and expected to have missed a ton with such a low score, but when i went back and reviewed, i had missed 45 questions out of the 4 blocks = roughly 76% correct. At the same time, i've just completed 15 % of UsmleRx with a score of 70% and it estimates my Usmle score as 199 +/- 20 points.

Am I missing something here? i was under the impression that a 220 ( average score ) on the usmle was in the neighborhood of 70% correct. Has the scoring changed this summer or something? how am i barely passing with 70+% correct??

thanks.

- P.S. on usmle rx it has a bar that says 'your score - 70%, Everyone else - 57%" , it's hard to believe that if the average is 57% that would be under passing. just really confused.
