Hello Everyone,

I have seen other threads about this very topic. I just wanted to know if I can get an updated survey of how well students performed on Step-1 in comparison to exam prep material i.e. NBME exams, UW Qbank%, Kaplan% or any other source you may have used. I would expect the Step1 has become more difficult over recent years which is why it would be nice to get a more current perspective.
So if you got your Step 1 score back, please feel free to share your score with other. Good luck to all and congrats to those who passed!

Step 1 >265
Average of last 3 NBMEs/UWSAs ~265
UW first pass 85%
Kaplan during MS2 ~82%
Rx during MS2 ~90%

Step 1: 251
Average of NBMEs (only took 2): 236 (NBME11: 228 right before dedicated studying, NBME16: 245, halfway through my studying)
UW First Pass: 72%

NBME 16: 240
NBME 17: 245

Those were 3 and 2 weeks from my exam, respectively. Also took other NBMEs, but not as one continuous 200q exam.

UW: 68%

Actual: 252 (never hit broke 250 on a practice test)

If you were to estimate, how many questions would you say u missed on the actual test? thanks

I honestly can't say. The curve on NBMEs seemed to be about 10% missed was a 250, but I've heard that the curve on the real thing might be more lenient given that it's more difficult. I think it's best to focus on strategy and getting as many right as you can.
