hie,
i am about to give my exam in a month from now.
i wanted to give NBME this week and then 1 more after 3 weeks, but i have no knowledge about it.
i need some guidance as to which should i give this week and another after 3 weeks.
and is NBME score under rate or over rate you or is it a good predictor of one's actual step 1 score.

Hey akshay1,
The latest NBME's are the ones closest to the current USMLE exams. These are NBME forms 11 and 12. I did those two NBME forms in the last 2 weeks of my preparation and the concepts on those ones were very close to the concepts presented my exam. I even had a couple of repeated questions. NBME forms will usually closely predict your actual score according to people's postings here on SDN. Hope this helps.

so i was planing to give an nbme this sunday. which should i give?
do you have any idea as to how much it costs and from where should i subscribe?
how many blocks is it?

hey i gave nbme 11 just now.
i got 220 score.
is tht my usmle score? i am worried and panicking 🙁

after giving the test on the right hand side i got my assessment score as 220

and a few paras below it had a table wid the score and the 3 digit score.
does that mean i got 156 coz 220 corresponded to it !

Ya, the first score so the 220 is an NMBE score...mine was a 330, which corresponded to a 182. When is your test?

yes you must correspond your nbme score to usmle score

Ya my exam date is 10 nov. 25 days to go. I need to put in more time I guess then. I need 220 atleast 🙁
Seems impossible. Will give form 12 a week before my exam.
