Is anyone on this forum who performs nerve conduction studies and EMGs familiar with a device called the NC-stat monitor from a company called Neurometrix?
http://www.neurometrix.com/monitor.htm
Are the principles of the device the same as the ones employed by conventional neurodiagnostic machines? How does it compare to the latter? Is it easier to use? From what I can gather, it seems to be targeted mainly at non-neurologist PCP offices, and does not provide needle EMG capabilities. Do patients really tolerate it better?
How much do they cost?
