NDC Discontinued Rejections

What is up with these rejections? My supplier continues to send me Camber brand amlodipine but when I bill it, the insurance rejects it for NDC discontinued and I have to bill Ascend instead. How is the NDC discontinued then, if I'm constantly getting shipments of it?

We had a similar thing happen so we had to put in some rejection overrides then it would go through. It was for a discontinued NDC of lisinopril 10mg if I remember right

Sometimes it's truly a discontinued NDC but most often it is a NDC not covered but still exists (various OTCs). At least for Express Scripts
