Near the end of content review, purchased the AAMC Section Bank. Honestly, it kicked my a**

How do I step up to the level of SB. I dont think my approach is correct and I wanna save the SB for the later part of my prep. wHAT are some cost effective resources I could use to practice. Been using Khan academy. AAMC doesn't seem to have topic wise questions

I only got the AAMC SB so far. What else do I need?
Just UWorld. It's pricey but worth it. I only purchased UWorld and the AAMC QBs + Practice tests. Anything else is maybe worthwhile if you're really struggling imo.

The sequence that I give the students I mentor/tutor is:
1. content review (3-4 wks max) w/ whatever 3rd party company of their choice. Incorporate Anki or whatever spaced repetition technique (do daily)
2. UWorld (1-2 months ideally) -> aim to do 70%+ of the qbank. Better to get it wrong and learn from your mistakes.
3. 1 month out from the MCAT, purchase the AAMC MCAT bundle. Make "pseudo-exams" w/ SB / q-pack / etc questions to simulate extra tests. Take FL practices 1-2x/wk that last month.

Adjust as needed to cover material. The exam is a lot of pattern recognition, and 1st and 2nd order thinking questions. UWorld gives great exposure, AAMC gives targetable context to that exposure.

Jack Weston has tons of free passage questions. They also have a daily passage. And its free! I have been using this with Uworld and the AAMC questions.
