Its funny you should say they lost your letters of recommendation. Although my file is now complete and should be up for review, when i applied in the begining of september they lost 2 of my letters of recommendation. I submitted them again, and called to confirm they were recieved. Two weeks later i got a letter saying my file wasnt complete and i needed another LOR. I had to ask my professor for the same letter 3 times, thats unbelievable, i thought i was the only one 😱
Same thing happened to me. Lost one of my LORs and my transcript from a community college I went to.. The thing is, I had to call them and find this out. I sent my stuff in September, and finally called them in November... Not a great impression so I cancelled the interview.
Very interesting! I saw in a different thread that they lost their Director of Admissions in the fall, so I attributed the confusion to that. Thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, it must have been unexpected. They are really nice if you call and check on your file, so don't be afraid. I wonder how many spots they have filled so far? Anyone know?
I, like everyone else, applied in October and haven't heard anything. When I called a couple weeks ago to check the status, my application hadn't even been reviewed. I guess they are more behind than most schools. NECO is my first choice, so, hopefully I'll hear something soon.
Wow, that must be frustrating to have your stuff lost so many times! Just so people don't think NECO is horribly disorganized, I applied in late September, got an interview in early December, and got my acceptance a couple days later. Hang in there guys, I'm sure they are just overwhelmed with applications!

I applied in Dec and they called me back last week... I was wondering what was taking so long (compared to other schools!!) I'm going for an interview on Jan 12th 🙂

I also applied in December and I got a call last week for an interview. When I called the school at the start of January, they told me that they were just conducting interviews for the first few weeks of the month and then at the end of Jan they would be reviewing applications and contacting people for interviews again. I will be going down on Feb 12th as well.

I also interviewed on Feb 12th and got a letter yesterday saying I was accepted. Now it is time to make some serious decisions! I am debating between NECO and SUNY...but since we have to give the $500 non-refundable within 2 weeks, I better get on it!

NECO does take a long time to get things together so you have to keep calling them to check up with them. I submitted my application a week before september and was invited for interview in november and accepted in december. I called them a lot to make sure they had received everything and it also shows that you are serious about attending NECO. I had to call other schools too so it's not just NECO who's slow.
