I know that people have posted about being in an inaugural class over in the pre-med forums but I wanted to post here to get a response from people who actually were in an inaugural class and either are working towards getting a residency or have already gotten one. If you were in an inaugural class, did you have any issues with getting a residency beyond the typical ones? Like did you have people saying that since they hadn't encountered graduates from that school they were hesitant to offer you a residency?
I know that residencies are dependent on multiple factors that everyone faces. I just want to know if attending a medical school in the inaugural class affected the process in any way. I'm particularly interested in D.O.'s but I welcome any insight people can give me 🙂
