Need ADvice ** DAT DONE!!** low PAT? October retake? Advices pleasee1!

Here are my DAT scores, it seems like it's not good enough, considering my sci gpa is around 3.0 .

PAT - 15 😱
QR - 16
RC - 20
Bio - 20
GC- 22
Orgo - 19

TS - 20
AA - 19

1)Would an october retake be useless ??
2) this low PAT score is seriously low, isn't it?
3) which schools around the east coast look at total scores only?

It depends on the school. Some schools like Western do not accept scores after Oct. 15 I believe. You have to call and ask the schools that you're applying to.

There a number of factors that come into play. Compared to the average statistics, a 15 is fairly low. BUT, there are a number of students that have been accepted with 15 or 16 PAT, it just depends on the overall package. However, it is most likely in your favor to retake.

I don't think there are any schools that look at total scores only, but schools weigh each section of the DAT differently. In the meantime checkout this thread http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=700459&highlight=dental+school+statistics it should give you a better idea.

What are you overall stats, cGPA, nsGPA? When were your apps submitted?

Btw, did you try using CDP to prepare for the exam? You should definitely consider using CDP if you plan on retaking.

Agree - CDP is good for practice! I went from a getting a 17 on practice test while running out of time to scoring a 21 on practice tests with 15 mins left over.

But seriously CDP is such a huge help. After 8 tests i went from 17 to consistent 21's. Ended the real one with a 23.

if ur like me, ull still wake up at 730 am thinking u have to study haha...but seriously ive never enjoyed being bored so much, and so shall u!
