So I'm about 2 weeks out from Step 1 and I'm torn between what I need to be doing. I'm about 96% complete with gunner with approximately 500 questions/day 😱😕....It takes me roughly 10 hours to complete all these questions (with a couple of breaks)...Ridiculous, I know..and that leaves me little time with reviewing new info from gunner as well as listening and annotating in Goljan.

The problem is, I've only listened to one day of Goljan with 4 to go and approximately 50% of World...

Should I continue to complete the 500 questions a day (and risk forgetting material) or finish the last 4% that I need to complete while completing World and Goljan? What are all you other GT users doing?

I THINK I know what I should do, but I'm here for the reassurance!

Im not using GT but other flashcard software, this is my 2 pence.
if you have seen a card 4 times and got it right, it is unlikely that you will forget it in the next two weeks.
at this time you should be focusing on integrating stuff. Goljan audio and Uworld are both great for that.

Dang, that's hardcore!

I would continue GT, but squeeze some time in there each day for Goljan.

I would also drop UWorld. You know what, I am almost done with Uworld, and it REALLY HASN'T HELPED ME THAT MUCH. Many of the "tricky" Qs in there you can easily answer if you got the corresponding material in GT memorized. The remaining "tricky" Qs are either oddly worded or just seem irrelevant.

Also, I took the UWSA1 and it under-scored me compared to NBME by 12 points. Sooo... I really think focusing on memorizing the key points in GT & listening to Goljan is higher-yield.

If I were you, I'd do GT, but intersperse it with Goljan. Maybe do a Q set on cardio, then listen to the Goljan lecture on cardio aftewards, etc.

I haven't taken the exam yet as a disclaimer.

GT is great, but it is indeed a time sink. With the test in 2 weeks, I'd suggest limiting your GT time to maybe 4-5 hours at most, and then spend the rest of it doing goljan first aid and doing uworld questions. I disagree with the poster above, uworld has been awesome for learning purposes. Also goljan was the best teacher I had for these first 2 years of med school.

tough call. Are you missing questions because you don't know the info or because you get tripped up on the questions? 10 hours a day of gt is too much. How are you scoring? In general I would say that if you have a solid foundation uworld is higher yield than the other sources (use it on tutor mode to learn), but as long as you work hard with some combo of those three resources you'll be using your time well

Woah...whatever you do dont drop UW. I think the one poster is in the very very select minority where UW doesnt help with learning. I would say UW has probably been the second most important thing ive done...second to class work (maybe First aid is tied with UW)
