Hey everyone, so I am having a real tough time with my calc 1 class. I have been struggling ever since day one. I have a very high B at the moment, but I have to overwork myself just to teach myself the material. The professor sucks. I've never had such a terrible instructor. He doesn't explain anything at all and I have to teach myself the material all the time. I am currently taking 15 credit hours, but if I drop the class, I'll have 12, which means I'll still be a full-time student, but I'd be behind...plus I get a W on my transcript...which I'm not too sure how much that would affect me..I'm not sure how med schools take W's. I feel like my grade is just going to go down the drain by the time the final comes.

If you guys could please help me and give advice or suggestions I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

A high B is pretty good. Why not work your ass off and get an A?

If you stay in the B range, you should be fine. It's not the end of the world if you don't get an A in a class.

it's not that I am aiming for an a, its just that lately the material hasn't been understandable. I try to get help, and learn on my own, but it doesn't help. I want to get out now before it's too late. I'm at about an 80 atm. 85-100 is an A. 75-84 is a B. 65-74 is a C. I feel that on this last test, since I am not understanding the material, I will do bad on the test. It's extremely hard when the professor doesn't explain at all.

Try using Khan Academy or Pauls Online Math Notes. That should help you for Calc 1
