Hi everyone!
I'm graduating in May of this year and am planning on taking my MCAT in September of 2019 to apply for next cycle.
My cGPA is a 3.5 and my science is a 3.18. I wanted to take a few classes to raise my science GPA in the fall of this year. My problem is i'm not sure what is the better option, to redo my lowest classes such as orgo (C) and biology 2 (C+)?

Or is it better to take more classes and try to raise it that way?

Im not sure which would make my chances greater but I'd love to hear some feedback since I'm confused as to what to register for!

Thank you 🙂

I think it's better to take new classes (rather than retake) since grade replacement isn't around anymore.

Re-take those 2 classes even at your community college that way it can averaged out to B and it will bring your over all Sgpa higher. Also take few more upper divison science classes as well. Take MCAT when you are 100% ready because you have plenty of time to apply in 2020.

No. Retakes are looked on less favorably as you should be getting an A.
New upper Div science classes and ace them.

This. Retakes are risky with C's as the original grade. Medical schools can still see that you got that grade the first time and if you don't receive an A the second time around, it could definitely hurt your application. Take those upper-division sciences and knock them out of the park the first time to show you can handle the tougher material at an appropriate pace. Best of luck to you!
