Okay so I plan on applying Early Decision to one of two schools. Now, just to make it clear, it is one of my life goals to go to medical schools. I realize how hard it is and I THINK that I would be happy anywhere.

I am thinking of applying to an Ohio school. I am not an Ohio resident but the program I plan on applying to has a pretty high acceptance rate. However, I would really prefer to to go to Wake Forest med school though. What should I do?

no its too late to ED
come submit ur AMCAS tonight like me

If you are uncertain like this you should not even think about applying ED. Choose several schools that you like and apply to them all. You'll increase your chances of getting in somewhere and you'll have more time and information to make your decision.

I am thinking of applying to Medical College of Ohio. I am not an Ohio resident but the program I plan on applying to has a pretty high acceptance rate. However, I would really prefer to to go to Wake Forest med school bec. I am closer to the area and am more familiar with the school. The one problem about Wake is that it has a lower acceptance rate than MCO for early acceptance. I am just confused as to which of these two I should apply.

I have a really high science and cumulative GPA (both in the 3.9's). I have done lab research, but I dont have that many extra-curriculars which may really hurt me... Any advice?? I would rather go to a medical school that I half-heartedly want to go to rather than none at all.....

dont apply unless you have strong MCATS

Since you say that you think you'd be happy anywhere you go, I really wouldn't recommend doing ED. To get accepted ED you usually have to be a very competetive applicant, and if you don't get in you are at a MAJOR disadvantage since you have to wait til October to apply to other schools. Pick a few more schools and apply regular decision, and I think you will be much better off!

I should clarify..I am not applying early decision. It is a type of ED that doesn't require MCATs and you apply after sophomore year. Based on that, what would you suggest...?

Is it possible to apply to both?

In that case, I would apply to the one you would rather go to....which you said was Wake State. In any case, I wouldn't base my decision purely on the acceptance rate. As long as your stats are fine for either, I don't think you should consider the acceptance rate at all. Besides, since you are applying early anyways, if you don't get in, you can always still take the MCAT and apply before your senior year like most people do.
Good luck!

Unfortunately, you can only apply to one 🙁
