Need Advice - Reapplying

Hey guys,
This will be my third time reapplying. Currently i am on waitlist at texas schools - Baylor and Houston. I will be retaking my DAT on June 30, 2011. I will be applying to texas schools + out of state schools for backup. I applied to 13 schools this year but was interviewed only at Indiana School of Dentistry and then was rejected late March.

I am planning on applying to schools listed below, just need your advice if I should remove some of them or add some more which would atleast guarantee me an interview.

Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry
Creighton University School of Dentistry
Indiana University School of Dentistry (only applying b/c I was Interviewed)
Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine
NYU
Tufts University School of Dental Medicine
Temple University School of Dentistry
Western University College of Dental Medicine
University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry

Anywayz, my overall gpa is 3.87 and science gpa is 3.93.. Currently doing post bac in biomedical sciences - 4.0 GPA
DAT score :
GC - 18
OC - 20
Bio - 20
PAT - 18
Reading - 17
Math = 14
AA = 18
TS - 19

You have a really good GPA, so that will help with your low DAT score. A lot of schools have a cut off at 17 for all sections, so you might automatically get rejected because of that 14. From what I've heard Penn likes high DAT scores, maybe hold off on that one until you've retaken the DAT. All the other schools look good. Good Luck!!! I'm sure you'll get in this time!

All my interviews went well. I always feel i did really good on my interviews. I always carried on good conversation with everyone that i interviewed with.

That's not always true. It boils down into a number's game. I interviewed very well at a school, but was rejected because they said they did not except anything with a GPA lower than a certain # unless they did post bacc or graduate work. At another school, I also interviewed well but was waitlisted and I'm pretty sure it is because someone with better stats was picked over me.

I did apply with same scores b/c i was interviewed first round even after i applied really late.. First time around, my application was submitted on october 1st after all the verifications. I didn't know that tmdsas takes a month to process.

With my good GPA + 18AA i thought i would be okay b/c i have seen others getting accepted with that.. Anywayz i was wrong and so i am retaking it now..
I hope i would have retaken it..

Your GPA is awesome, you will get several acceptances if you can get 20 or above on DAT. Good luck man.
