Hi everyone,
There are a few posts regarding full-time workers asking for advice on how to study for the DAT, but I cannot find a post specific to my situation.
Background: I recently graduated from college and work full-time at a fastly growing company with a small team. This means my 9-5 job is actually a 9-5 job plus "on call" duties, which are a part of my weekends as well. Additionally, I shadow a dentist far from home on Saturdays. When I get home, I pretty much eat then pass out from exhaustion. Lastly, the commute for both my job and shadowing take about 3 hours round trip per day.
Therefore, finding time to study is difficult. I am trying to study 1 hour on Mon to Thursday and 5 hours on Sundays. My plan is to read a chapter of Cliffnotes AP Bio on the weekdays, and go through Chad's on the weekend. If I stick to my schedule, I can go through Chad's entirely once and read through Cliffnotes twice by the end of the summer. Now, when do I bring in Destoyer and Bootcamp (and maybe even Feralis's) PLUS perception, QR, and reading?
Should I just focus on becoming solid with GC, OC, and Bio by going through Cliffnotes and Chads by the end of the summer? Then, go through Destroyer and Bootcamp once the summer ends? I guess I can't do reading and QR until I activate Bootcamp anyways since Bootcamp is the only material I have for these 2 sections?
Anyways, as you can see, I'm at a lost on how to study effectively. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
