Hiya!

I submitted my primary application without realizing that it will not be processed until AMCAS receives my transcript....yes I'm soooo dumb. The problem is my spring grades did not all come in, so I am waiting for one of my grades, which is currently marked as NR (not received) in my transcript. I already know I have an A in the class, so in my primary app, I listed my grade for the class as an A.

I can do several things: send my transcript with the NR (doesn't affect my GPA) or wait until the grade comes in hopefully 3 days or less and send the updates transcript. Will three days really make a difference??

Also, I'm assuming that once I do send in my transcript, it'll be processed after a couple weeks. I'll probably be able to submit the secondaries by late August and hopefully not but maybe early September if I prewrite my secondaries. Would I be at a huge disadvantage applying late?? Would it be better to apply next year? I have decent scores: 3.89 cGPA/ 8.84 sGPA and 35 MCAT with usual research and volunteering extracurrics.

Sorry if I am posting under the wrong section, but I am new to this site.

I think you'll be better off sending your current transcript, and then updating it later. That way, they'll see that you have a transcript on file and you'll enter the verification queue. It should update with the new transcript when they receive it without changing your position on the queue.

thanks so much for your response!

I'll definitely do that. I didn't realize you can send in your new transcript without it affecting your verification position.
