Notes: Hi, this is my first time posting in this forum. I am currently a junior and I am planning to apply to dental school next year summer. I would like to know is there anything I can do to improve my chances of getting into ONE dental school. Thank you so much for all your replies and suggestions!

Have you volunteered/shadowed/attended events at any dental schools? No.
Relevant Honors or Awards: On Provost list in my school for 2 semester.
LOR type and strength:
N/A.
Misc Info/Things not stated elsewhere/Red Flags:
So I saw that Stony Brook want applicant who took AP to take an advanced math class in college or retake Calc1 and Calc2. Since I haven't take any math for 4 years, I decided to retake Calc1 and Calc2. The only problem right now is that since my school already accept my AP score, I now has a repeat on the Calc class I am taking right now. I wonder if I can explain this situation to the dental school 🙁. I also can't drop the class now because that will appear on my transcript as a withdraw.

School list:

NYU
Stony Brook (dream school)
Buffalo
Touro (close to my house)

Once again, thank you so much for all of the suggestion and comment or just reviewing my list!

you should have already established a relationship with admissions at your dream school...

Clearly you need a lot more volunteering experience. Have you only been studying over the last 3 years of school? No campus activities?

100 hours is minimum, and your community service should be addressing food distribution, shelter volunteering, job/tax preparation, legal support, transportation services, or housing rehabilitation. Tutoring/teaching/mentoring is very common among prehealth students, so it won't help you stand out.

What feedback have you gotten from your prehealth advisors?
